How can I message past buyers of items on ebay to make sure the seller was good?
It seems that now ebay lets you view past buyers of a product, but you can't message them. I want to know if a certain product (that is VERY low priced) isn't a scam. Can't I ask the other 10 buyers if it's what they wanted and make sure I don't get scammed?

- you can check the sellers feedback often sellers post items at low starting prices to draw potential buyers in. instead of starting an ipod at $100, one might start it at .99 to get lots of people interested, and bidding.
- Unless it's very low priced as a Buy It Now, you often don't need to be fearful of a scam. Sellers pay higher fees for higher starting amounts and/or higher reserve prices. If there's an item that they're virtually sure people will bid on to an acceptable level, it's in their interest to just start the item at a low price. Lots of things start at $0.99 but end up nowhere near that. You do need to make sure you read the description carefully. Sometimes people miss that something is scratched, or was a display item, comes without warranty, etc. No, you generally can't contact other buyers on eBay. If someone has sold the same item before, you should simply check their feedback. Most people are good about leaving it, especially if they're getting ripped off. And most are good about making sure to say if things actually are as indicated if they themselves may have had doubts initially. Also try to pay with Paypal if at all possible, just in case you have to file a complaint.
