How do you contact buyers from different stores to show them your line?

I'm thinking of doing a shoe line from home. How do I present it or find buyers? What is the next step? Do you put a down payment from your own money at a factory or the store that's buying your line gives you a payment?

1. You have to put down the payment. After you created your product, you would bring it to a retailer near your house to sell. After a few local stores, you can contact the local Macy's or other department store in your mall. They usually need headquarters approval though. Good luck.
