Is March a good month to go to Jacksonville beach?

We're planning a vacation and wanted to go to Jacksonville beach around March 21st-24th. I wanted to know if around that time it would be warm enough to go swimming, or if it would still be too cold?

  1. You're "good to go." It has actually been a warmer than normal winter.... The water is in the 70's and should be warmer when you get there. Beware of the sharks though....
  2. March is usually warm, but the Atlantic is always cold. The wind comming off it can get cold too. I went to Daytona on Spring break in March a couple years ago. The temps were in the low 80's and nice but that ocean water was as cold as ice. So was the sea breaze. I prefer Gulf Coast beaches for this reason. The Gulf is always warm.
  3. March would be a good time to visit. The weather it warm but not unbearably hot. The ocean should be warm enough, maybe a bit cool but not to where you can't enjoy it. And we don't really have many sharks.
