Where online can I find the most up to date US demographics? Especially for Houston, TX?

I'm taking a business class and I have to continue to look up demographics for Houston but I am having a hard time finding anything past 2003 with most information in 2000. I even tried the US census government website and all I could find was info for 2000. Am I looking in the wrong place? Or are there other websites where I can get more up to date information? Thanks.
