How do most show legit shows sellers on eBay get their products?

I am not talking about the ones who import fakes, but I am strictly talking about those shoe sellers on eBay who sell multiple pairs and have in the thousands for feedback. How do most of them acquire them, I would like to get into the business. If you know anything else about the business, how much profit are they making?
